Aldi is imposing a strict two-item per person restriction on one of their most popular products during the festive period.
The budget supermarket has reduced the price of wine lauded by critics as "incredible" for just one week, slashing the price from £8.99 to an incredible £3.49.
The Specially Selected Cairanne from Aldi will be on offer from December 11 to December 18, as the supermarket’s "Christmas present to the nation".
However, customers looking to stock up for the festive season will be dismayed to learn that shoppers will be limited to buying two bottles at a time.
Aldi is expecting a surge in sales due to the 61 per cent price reduction, so have limited the number of bottles a customer can buy at a time, in order to ensure as many people as possible can have a chance to enjoy the "incredible" wine.
Managing director of buying at Aldi UK Julie Ashfield said: "These reductions are part of our efforts to make great quality wines affordable to all this Christmas.
"We’ve introduced a bottle limit to ensure as many of our shoppers as possible can buy and enjoy the Specially Selected Cairanne at such an incredible price."
The critically lauded wine is blended from four different types of grapes. It comprises Grenache (60 per cent), Syrah (25 per cent), Mourvèdre (10 per cent), and Carignan (five per cent).

Wine experts have taken to social media to alert their followers to Aldi’s impressive deal. One urged Brits to "set your clocks to go" to snap up the bottles
The Cairanne was popular among wine aficionados who had recommended the tipple on Instagram.
Cathal McBride (@GlassOfRedWine) wrote: "It has been a while since I've recommended a wine but this Cairanne from Aldi Ireland is excellent value.
"A Côtes du Rhône Villages, this is a full-bodied wine but has a subtlety and elegance that beguiles its high volume ... I'm very impressed with this for the price."

However, with many people keen to try it for a bargain price of £3.49, not all customers will be happy about the two-bottle limit.
It's not the first time the German supermarket has placed a limit on a festive product.
The supermarket has limited the purchase of Kevin the Carrot plushies to two per customer.
Kevin and his friends are Specialbuy, meaning there is a limited number up for grabs.
