Live updates as police close Rhigos mountain road due to serious incident - Wales Online

Police closed a main road in the Valleys due to an ongoing incident.

South Wales Police have closed the A4061 Rhigos Road in both directions from Treherbert to Hirwaun. The emergency services are at the scene.

Police say that the road "is expected to remain closed for some time". It is not clear exactly when the incident occurred at this point but it has been closed since at least 5.25am.
