Mia Khalifa slams Elon Musk's Twitter restrictions and demands 'one change we all want' - Daily Star

Mia Khalifa has slammed Elon Musk's decision to cap the number of posts each Twitter user can see per day, questioning why he won't give us the "one thing we ask for".

The Pornhub legend, 30, took to her Instagram story to share her thoughts on the controversial new feature today (Sunday, July 2), a day after the social media boss announced the new restrictions.

“All these changes that bankrupt twitter in one day and they won’t change the one thing we ask for: to make our likes private?!?" Mia said, followed by two cry-laughing emojis.

Ever a fan of a meme, the porn star-turned-influencer posted a snap of American rapper Young Thug captioned: "Elon Musk in the studio like this update should make em want to delete the app, drop it."

On Saturday (July 1) thousands of Twitter users complained they were unable to see new posts as they were told they had exceeded their "rate limit" or the site "couldn't retrieve tweets".

Musk then took to his own profile to announce accounts with different settings would have different caps on the number of posts they could see per day in response to "extreme levels of data scraping".

"Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day; Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day; New unverified accounts to 300/day," the Tesla tycoon posted.

Later he announced plans to adjust the restrictions to 8000 posts a day for verified accounts, 800 for unverified accounts and 400 for new unverified accounts, before changing his mind to 10,000, 1,000 and 500 posts per day respectively.

Musk, who infamously took over the platform in October 2022, also retweeted a post telling users to "go outside" in response to backlash over the new limits.

"The reason I set a 'View Limit' is because we are all Twitter addicts and need to go outside," a parody account of the billionaire said.

"I’m doing a good deed for the world here. Also, that’s another view you just used."

Mia, who boasts 5.5m followers on Twitter, has long been vocal on the platform and has found herself in hot water on a number of occasions for controversial tweets.

She took to the social network following Russia's invasion of Ukraine and posted instructions showing how to make a Molotov cocktail, sparking outrage.

Some fans responded positively to Mia's tweet, with some of her Ukrainian followers thanking her for standing with them – while others called the tweet inappropriate and feared the post could be seen by the wrong people.

"OMG! Thank you for support! Didn't expect you'll talk about resistance such directly. In Ukraine we say 'Ikoha' (Icon) about such brave women," one said.

Meanwhile another countered: "I understand the reason behind this but please delete this, it's not necessary for all of twitter to know how to make a molotov."
