'Cars giving up and turning around' as Hull Myton Bridge closure causes more chaos - live traffic updates - Hull Live

Drivers are turning around and giving up, witnesses have reported, due to traffic chaos in and around Hull city centre.

It is the second weekend of the Myton Bridge closure for urgent resurfacing work. The A63 is closed in both directions until the early hours of Monday morning from the Great Union Street to Madeley Street junctions.

In addition, Hull FC are due to play Catalans Dragons at the MKM Stadium at 3pm. Inbound traffic has been at a near standstill in Spring Bank West, one witness reported.

Very slow traffic has also been reported on other inbound routes, including Holderness Road (where delays of 15 minutes are reported), Hedon Road, Anlaby Road, Hessle Road and Beverley Road.

Fifteen-minute delays are also reported on Ferensway as traffic tries to navigate around the A63 closure.
