Disgruntled Birmingham Airport passengers have taken to social media this morning to decry long waits at the terminal. Some claimed to have been waiting over two hours.
Photos shared on X, formerly Twitter, show long lines outside the terminal. Airport bosses have previously told BirminghamLive passengers are having to wait outside the terminal as building works inside mean the space is small and cramped.
And despite new scanners being available to allow passengers to carry two litres of water in hand luggage, last minute government rules mean those flying are still confined to just 100ml bottles.

That change, bosses say, means the new kit can't run to maximum efficiency, and checks are being carried out on bags. Both are adding to delays they said.
Those flying through the hub in recent weeks have slammed the scenes of carnage and called for resignations. Many have also called for the return of escalators as, under new procedures, they are currently reaching the security hall through elevators.
The long queues have been seen to peak during the early morning before dying off before lunchtime.
