Wilko is set to open stores in Northern Ireland for the first time as the discount hardware and furnishings retailers returns to the high street and retail parks across the UK.
The store brand, website and intellectual property were bought by The Range after the long-running shopping chain went into administration.
The final Wilko shops closed their doors just weeks ago and were not expected to reopen with their branded goods instead being sold at branches of The Range.

Wilko collapsed in early August, leading to thousands of job losses and the closure of its 408 stores, many of them in traditional town centres.
However, it has now been announced that five stores under the Wilko name will be open before Christmas.
The first two stores will open in Plymouth and Exeter in Devon.
It has also been announced that there will be further stores opening across the country including in England, Scotland, Wales and, for the first time, Northern Ireland.
The new Wilko stores will offer shoppers everything they need to get all their home and garden jobs done, focusing on the best of Wilko-brand products alongside well-known brands.
CEO of CDS Superstores, trading as The Range and Wilko, Alexander Simpkin said; “For the majority of its 93 years, Wilko was an incredibly successful business that gave its customers exactly what they needed to get their home and garden jobs sorted.
“The public reaction to the loss of Wilko stores was undeniable. That’s why we’ve taken the decision to reintroduce Wilko back to many of the high streets and communities that it used to so proudly serve.
“Our team from Wilko that joined us through the acquisition has shown true resilience. We’re expanding that team every day with new Wilko hires and can’t wait to extend that back out to local communities.
“We’ll endeavour to give ex-wilko employees priority as a part of the recruitment process for the new stores.”
The CDS Superstores property team is encouraging landlords across the UK to open productive conversations if they’re interested in being considered for the Wilko roll-out programme.
