More countries have been removed from the Scottish travel exemption list in a bid to tackle the spike in Covid-19 cases.

This means jet-setters arriving in Scotland from those countries after 4am on Saturday must self-isolate for 14 days, Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf has said.

Scotland will also align with other UK nations and add Madeira and the Azores to the list of destinations now exempt from quarantine requirement, he added.

Humza Yousaf said: "After latest 4 Nations call the following changes agreed: We will remove Turkey, Poland and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba from the exempt list.
