Three quarters of UK adults have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine, according to government figures announced this afternoon.
Ministers urged people who had not yet been jabbed to come forward as soon as possible, describing vaccination as key to “enjoying freedoms safely”.
Some 39.7 million people in the UK have received two jabs, and 7.4 million people have had a single dose.
Boris Johnson said: “Our incredible vaccine rollout has now provided vital protection against the virus to three quarters of all UK adults. This is a huge national achievement, which we should all be proud of.
