It may not exactly have been ice cream weather lately, but with temperatures expected to perk up next week we could have another problem on our hands - or rather, 99 problems.
The UK and Ireland are reportedly facing a shortage of Cadbury Flake 99s, the popular crumbly chocolates which usually accompany soft serve ice cream.
Cadbury owner Mondelez told The Irish Times it had seen a "recent increase in demand" for the chocolate that it had not expected.
The company has reportedly said it is working hard to meet the demand.
It could mean the chocolates, which are half the size of normal Flakes, may be harder to get hold of this summer.
Some Twitter users have had a rather dramatic reaction to the news, with one writing: "HAVE WE NOT SUFFERED ENOUGH?!".
Others joked that "summer is as good as cancelled" and it "hardly seems worth coming out of lockdown now".
Another, presumably a Line of Duty fan, shared the news with the caption: "Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey."
The weather has been pretty disappointing for many across the UK in recent weeks, but there are hopes of some more spring-like conditions on the way which may have many queueing up at ice cream vans.
The first half of May has seen 77% of the average total rainfall for the entire month and temperatures have remained around three degrees below normal.
But a Met Office spokesperson has told Sky News that there should be some drier and warmer weather towards the middle of next week.
They added things should become "increasingly settled" by the end of May and beginning of June.
