Live Intu Lakeside Shopping Centre traffic updates as huge queues form after owners announce administration - Essex Live

Huge queues have formed around Lakeside Shopping Centre after owners announced the company had entered administration.

The future of the complex in West Thurrock, Essex, has been thrown into doubt after Intu Properties' survival talks fell through yesterday (Friday, June 26).

The company, which owns major shopping centres across the UK, had its administration confirmed moments after the London Stock Exchange suspended shares in the listed firm.

Traffic is now building in the area with traffic maps suggesting a large number of vehicles are making their way in and out of the shopping centre, which is currently open for business.

There are long queues on the B186 heading towards the A126 and Lancaster Roundabout, while congestion is also forming on the entrance to almost every unit within the Lakeside complex.

Queues are building on the Arterial Road West Thurrock near to the junction with the M25 and drivers and being warned to expect long delays in the area.
