MADISON, Wis. — A group of Delta Airlines employees are suing Dodgeville-based Lands’ End, saying the uniforms provided by the company caused rashes and made them sick.
The suit from more than 500 Delta employees claims the uniforms introduced last year that are worn by flight attendants and some ground workers caused them to develop an array of health issues, including difficulty breathing, fatigue and rashes after wearing the uniforms.
The suit also claims tests conducted by employees found high levels of chemicals and heavy metals in the uniforms, including formaldehyde and mercury.
Delta says its own tests showed the required parts of the uniform to be safe.
Lands’ End told CBS News that the company does not respond to ongoing litigation.
